Lembikisa heads to Switzerland
Expatriate Zimbabwean music star, Prayers Lembikisa, left the country last week for Switzerland where he is set to perform at various shows and undertake other business commitments, NewsDay has learnt.
Lembikisa, who is based in the United Kingdom, confirmed his departure in a Facebook post.
"I am very excited to be heading to Switzerland for a series of shows and business commitments. I am looking forward to meeting my fans and sharing my music with them," he said.
The musician, who is known for his hit songs such as "Mai Huni" and "Bvuma", will perform at several venues in Switzerland, including the Moods Jazz Club in Zurich and the Stadtkeller in Bern.
He will also be meeting with music industry executives and promoters to discuss future projects, according to his publicist.
The trip to Switzerland is part of Lembikisa's busy international touring schedule. He has performed in several countries in recent months, including the United Kingdom, the United States, and South Africa.
Lembikisa is one of Zimbabwe's most successful musicians. He has won several awards for his music, including the National Arts Merit Award for Outstanding Male Musician in 2017.
